During dinner, cast members, dressed in period costumes, will wait patrons serving salad, lasagna, chicken alfredo and cannolis while other cast members perform juggling, music and skits. Dinner theatre audience members will then be treated to a heartfelt and poignant presentation of O. Henry’s Christmas: The Gift of the Magi and Other Christmas Stories.
Set during the Great Depression, the play takes place in a railroad yard around a crackling fire on a cold Christmas Eve. A group of hopeless, destitute people are gathered to keep warm when an infamous stranger appears and offers to tell stories of inspiration and hope in exchange for a bowl of soup. One of the most famous stories, The Gift of the Magi, shares the tender exchange of gifts between a destitute husband and wife. Other stories reveal the human condition and the value of sharing hearts and lives with each other. The cast will end the night by singing a Christmas favorite.
