This week we are going to be reviewing and writing sentences. We will also be writing captions, quotations, sings and on Friday writing a letter together as a class.

We are learning about how to use "go and went" all week long!

We are continuing on with our regular math lessons were we still are practicing counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's. We will be studying coins and thier values especially being able to identify them - continuing with adding and subtracting. We have been practicing tally marks, working on time to the half hour, and talking more on odd and even numbers! The kids are also learning to graph, sort shapes and learning to write thier numbers 1-50! I will really be focusing a lot of attention on the children being able to identify and know the amount of the penny, nickle, dime, and quarter, learning fact families, and writing simple equations using our calendar board. This is the time of the year that we try to strengthen the students skills in the areas of math that they have been learning about all year.

Please make sure to look over your child's folder every night. Check their behavior report & initial or sign it, get any notes out, and take out any papers I have sent home! They will be getting a new sheet and new green folder for this nine weeks. Help me by reminding your child to take care of thier folder! Thanks!

The kids will be learning about the ocean and the beach this upcoming week! Get ready for them to tell you all about it!

Every morning when your child comes in the room they write their daily journal entry. We are having a hard time with getting this daily writing assignment completed! Please remind your children that this is a daily assignment and they need to be sure and do it everyday as instructed!
