WELCOME TO 8TH GRADE HISTORY
My name is Yvonne Rich and I am excited to begin my 11th year teaching at Pine Tree. I previously taught first grade at Gladewater I.S.D., but am now proud to be here in Pirate territory. I am married to a fellow P.T. teacher, Daniel Rich, who is also the girls soccer coach. GO LADY PIRATES! We have two wonderful daughters, Marisa and Cameron.
It is my goal to make this class a pleasurable experience in which students will not only learn all the tools necessary for success on the STAAR test, but will also develop a love of history. We will begin our study with European exploration of America and end with Reconstruction following the Civil War.

LESSON PLANS
Lesson plans will be posted on a weekly basis. Every effort will be made to follow the plans as they are posted. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is sometimes necessary to modify them.
We will be studying Reconstruction and the rights and responsiblities of citizenship.Reviews will be distributed on May 21.
